FIELD: cryptography.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means for switching on and off codewords in multi-subframe assignments. Receiving signal containing control information is received, which includes providing resources for multiple subframes and a plurality of codewords for each subframe, an indication of precoding common to multiple subframes. For each of a plurality of codewords, a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) indicator common to the provided multiple subframes, wherein the MCS indicator receives one of a plurality of values, including values indicating one of the plurality of MCS, and at least one value which does not indicate the MCS. It is determined that codeword of plurality of codewords in multiple subframes is disabled, if the MCS indicator of at least one of the plurality of codewords has a value which does not indicate the MCS, and is not otherwise disabled.

EFFECT: technical result is higher efficiency of encoding information.
