SUBSTANCE: invention relates to enabling and disabling codewords in multi-subframe grants. Receiving a signal containing control information, including granting resources for multiple subframes in a cell with licensed access (LAA), wherein each subframe of the plurality of subframes comprises a first transport block (TB) and a second TB, a precoding indication common to the plurality of subframes, and a first modulation and coding scheme (MCS) indicator for the first TB and the second MCS indicator for the second TB, which are common for multiple subframes. First MCS indicator and the second MCS indicator are capable of taking on one of the plurality of values, including values indicating one of the plurality of MCS, and at least one value which does not indicate the MCS. In response to the first MCS indicator, which takes a value which does not indicate MCS, it is determined that all first TBs in the plurality of subframes are switched off. In response to the second MCS indicator, which takes a value which does not indicate MCS, it is determined that all the second TBs in the plurality of subframes are switched off.
