FIELD: information protection.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to protection of information and can be used for storage and hidden transmission of confidential information over open communication channels. In the method of embedding information into a color image, comprising replacing insignificant bits of a digital signal of a container with bits of confidential information, selected digital image container is divided into square blocks of pixels of a certain size, calculating pixel values in square blocks, size of square blocks is selected based on detail of concealment, then in each square block determinant module is calculated, obtained values of modules of determinants of square blocks are ranked, information is embedded into bits of square blocks with non-zero value of determinant module.
EFFECT: high throughput capacity of steganographic embedding and complication of detection of embedding by means of steganalysis.
