FIELD: oil and gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to oil and gas industry, namely to devices for gripping from end and transportation of pipes with couplings on one of ends. Gripping device for transportation of pipes, including hingedly connected two-arm levers in the form of scissors with gripping elements on one ends and hole at end of one of levers or both for interaction with element of hoisting device, as well as fixation unit to prevent spontaneous release of captured tool. Two-arm levers are made straight at distance from each other at their alignment in the plane passing through hinge axis, due to insert installed between them in area of hinge and fixed on first of levers, inserted inside pipe from coupling side. Gripping elements are directed towards each other at combination of levers with distance of not more than 2 mm more than thickness of pipe wall, gripping element of second lever arranged outside the pipe during gripping, made with thickness approximately equal to pipe coupling wall thickness on its end, and installed at distance from insert is not more than 5 mm more than length of clamp being clamped. As per the first version, the fixation assembly is made in the form of two aligned holes fixed by the hoisting mechanism element. According to the second version, the first lever on the side of the gripping element near the insert is equipped with a protrusion made with possibility of interaction with the lead-in chamfer or sampling of the coupling thread at the distance of not less than half of the coupling length. At that, second lever is limited by insert stop from turning in one direction from alignment with first lever, and the fixing unit for it is made in the form of a spring-loaded lock mechanism fixing the second lever at combination with the first lever and release at mechanical action on the mechanism.

EFFECT: invention provides manual and / or mechanical transportation of pipes with a coupling at the end without mechanical damage to pipe integrity, coupling and their thread.
