FIELD: agriculture; beekeeping.

SUBSTANCE: composition for attracting and calming bees, having the shape of an oil/water emulsion in an aqueous phase, wherein the oil phase contains citral (3,7-dimethylocta-2,6-dienal), eugenol (4-allyl-2-methoxyphenol) and an oily carrier in amount of 10 % to 50 % by weight of composition weight, wherein the weight ratio of citral to eugenol is in range of 1 to 10. Aqueous phase contains a carbohydrate sweetener in amount of 15 % to 60 % by weight with respect to the total weight of the aqueous phase. Said sweetener is preferably selected from a group comprising: sucrose, fructose, glucose, sugar, inverted sugar syrup, maltose syrup and mixtures thereof. Invention also relates to methods and uses of said composition for increasing crop area crop capacity, for which pollination with bees is required, as well as to methods and applications of said composition for increasing efficiency of replanting new queen bee family, combining bee families and bee sedation in bee keeping.

EFFECT: invention proposes a composition for attracting and calming bees and its application in agriculture, horticulture and beekeeping.
