FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ecology and is intended for treatment of waste water of enterprises from cations of heavy metals. Aqueous phase containing heavy metal cations is added with a calcium cation, followed by sodium, potassium salts of higher fatty acids or silicate sodium potassium salts or sodium potassium-ammonium phosphate salts. As a result of this reaction, a precipitate of calcium salts of higher fatty acids or calcium silicate or calcium phosphate is formed, which entrains practically all heavy metal cations in a water-insoluble precipitate.
EFFECT: disclosed method provides more complete extraction of cations of heavy metals.
