FIELD: aerospace; protective technologies.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to apply a protective coating to the surface of spacecraft to maintain thermal conditions. The composition of the thermostatic coating contains a white pigment based on a calcium compound, a silicate binder and distilled water as a solvent. The silicate binder is liquid sodium or potassium glass with a silicate modulus of at least 3.5. Calcite is used as a white pigment.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase the reflective ability, radiation resistance and adhesion of the coating.
