SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method and system for supporting an asset based on a chain of blocks. Method includes determining that asset outside chain with sum for asset support based on chain of blocks is in frozen state, at which the asset outside the chain is protected against change in that amount until the asset based on the chain of blocks is redeemed; issuing an asset based on the block chain with a cost less than or equal to said sum; obtaining, for an asset on the basis of a chain of blocks, a freezing certificate containing a digital signature generated by a third party which certifies that the asset is outside the chain in a frozen state; publishing a transaction record for the asset based on the chain of blocks in the block chain registry containing said certificate; receiving a request for redemption for an asset based on the block chain; determining that a certificate corresponding to an asset based on the block chain is in the block chain registry; the asset is repaid on the basis of the chain of blocks by means of conversion of this asset to the asset outside the chain with the value corresponding to the specified sum.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of reliability of operations with data chain of blocks.
