FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: disclosed invention relates to devices intended for extraction of ferromagnetic particles (steel dust, washers, nails, screws and other ferromagnetic garbage items) present in bulk materials, transported on belt conveyors and sent for processing for production of flour at flour enterprises and meat packing plants, sprouted malt in breweries, grains in processing industries of agrarian-industrial complex and mining and metallurgical industry, and so forth. Electromagnetic separator comprises a laminated steel magnetic core, an electromagnetic system consisting of vertical steel cores enveloped by a common yoke, magnetization coils, located on steel cores and occupying volume of coil window, separated by air cooling channels, pole tips, forming uniformly distributed interpolar gaps along conveyor belt width. Yoke is made ferromagnetic, and pole tips are made with alternation of northern (N) and southern (S) poles of magnetic field.
EFFECT: reduction of mass and dimensions parameters of electromagnetic separator, provision of reliable extracting capacity of ferromagnetic particles from bulk materials on entire width of conveyor belt, as well as reduction of average length of coil of magnetising coils.
