FIELD: watches and other time measuring instruments.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to calendar mechanism, comprising disks (1, 2), program date unit (3), actuating disks (1, 2), drive unit (4), leading program unit (3) of date, and drive element (5) for driving drive unit (4). Disks (1, 2) of date comprise first lower disc of units and second upper disc of units superimposed on each other and capable of freely rotating relative to each other, as well as a third lower disc of tens and a fourth upper disc of tens, also superimposed on each other and capable of freely rotating relative to each other. Program unit (3) comprises program sets of date gears for driving date disks (1, 2), said program sets of gear wheels of date can selectively engage with disks (1, 2) of date so that display of last day of month is carried out by means of third lower disc of tens and first lower disc of units, and display of first day of next month is carried out using fourth upper disc of tens and second upper disc of units, wherein date change during transition from one month to another is carried out by single shift of fourth upper disc of tens and second upper disc of units regardless of month. Calendar mechanism may comprise set (24) of gear wheels of month and adjusting mechanism (26) of leap year, which interacts with drive unit (4), wherein drive unit (4) is a program gear of the month, and thus the calendar mechanism can be either a simple or a secular perpetual calendar mechanism.
EFFECT: disclosed is a calendar mechanism.
