SUBSTANCE: calendar mechanism for displaying the day of a lunar month on a clock face comprises a day wheel which is kinematically linked to a movable element of the means of indicating days of a lunar month, having at least one movable and at least one fixed with, on at least one thereof, scales with a sequence of equidistant numbers or marks of the days of the month from 1 to 30. The apparatus further includes a wheel of two lunar cycles, which provides additional rotation of the movable element of the indication means once in 59 days and provides transition of the pointer from 29th to the 1st day, omitting the 30th day. The clock comprises such as calendar device and a method of displaying a lunar calendar.
EFFECT: simple design of the mechanism, easier manufacture thereof and reduced material consumption of the structure while maintaining easy readout of information, high accuracy, reduced load on the clock mechanism improves accuracy of the clock and prolongs service life due to reduced wear.
