SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of cleaning a water surface. Described is a method of cleaning a water surface from a film of oil or oil products, involving treatment of a floating film of oil or oil products with powder from a mixture of organomineral composition, subsequent deposition of oil floating conglomerate formed as a result of selective adsorption, in which as a precipitating substance is used a mixture of cellulose-mineral material having a moisture content of 45 ± 5 %, having the following composition: cellulose C6H10O5 35 ± 5 %, calcium carbonate CaCO3 15 ± 5 %, aluminum oxide Al2O3 0.8 ± 0.2 %, sodium oxide Na2O 0.04 ± 0.01 %, potassium oxide K2O 0.01 ± 0.005 %, magnesium oxide MgO 0.04 ± 0.01 %, phosphorus oxide P2O5 0.01 ± 0.005 %, and slaked lime Ca(OH)2, the weight fraction of which is determined by formula: CCa(OH)2 = M(1.5Ccarb.2 − Ccarb.3 − 0.1Ccarb.), where M is the moisture content of the cellulose-mineral material (in weight fractions); Ccarb. is mass fraction of calcium carbonate in cellulose-mineral material; CCa(OH)2 is mass fraction of lime in mixture, said mixture is dried in air at temperature 120 ± 5 °C to relative humidity 8 ± 1 %.

EFFECT: technical result is higher efficiency of cleaning.
