FIELD: cleaning.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to sorption methods for cleaning solid and water surfaces from oil and oil products contamination. The method includes flash drying of pulp and paper production waste partially dehydrated to a moisture content of 50-60% at a temperature of 120-140°C, and after drying, the resulting cellulose-mineral mixture is mixed with sodium methyl siliconate (GKZH-11P) in a ratio by weight of 80:20, and the resulting mixture is subjected to heat treatment at 90°C for 30-40 minutes.
EFFECT: ensuring the residence time of the sorbent on the water surface, sufficient for the complete absorption of oil or oil products, and eliminating the possibility of flooding the sorbent and polluting the bottom of the reservoir when it is immersed.
