SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, particularly to gastroenterology, and concerns methods of treating functional gastrointestinal diseases. Presented is the use of quetiapine for treating gastrointestinal diseases specified in the group including irritable bowel syndrome, gastroesophageal reflux, functional dyspepsia and their combined conditions, where quetiapine is administered in dose of 1–50 mg.
EFFECT: use of the given invention allows using neuroleptic quetiapine for treating functional gastrointestinal diseases.
