SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine and can be used to evaluate the effectiveness of treatment of functional disorders of the gastrointestinal tract. Assess the dynamics of scores collected by the patient before and after the course of treatment. Determine the patient's presence of symptoms: pain in the epigastrium, a burning sensation in the projection of the stomach, a feeling of overflow in the projection of the stomach after eating, early satiety, abdominal pain, diminishing or disappearing after defecation, bloating, changes in the consistency – liquid or mushy, hard or nuts-like and/or frequency of bowel movements. Further, an assessment is made in points of the detected symptoms, depending on their frequency. And such symptoms as pain in the epigastrium, a burning sensation in the projection of the stomach, abdominal pain, diminishing or disappearing after defecation, bloating is additionally assessed by degree of severity. Then the points are summed up. Assess the condition of the patient, depending on the score obtained. By changing the amount of points after treatment, the effectiveness of the treatment is judged.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to accurately and simply evaluate the effectiveness of treatment of functional disorders of the gastrointestinal tract by evaluating the complex of the most significant symptoms.
