FIELD: communication equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mobile communication systems in which a device-to-device (D2D) communication device supporting non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) is realized. Invention implements method for determining transmission power in device-to-device (D2D) transmission mode between the first user equipment device and the second user equipment device using the communication resources simultaneously used for transmission from the third user equipment device to the cellular network element. Method includes determining a path loss value between a cellular network element and a first user equipment and use of said loss value to determine maximum transmission power, at which D2D transmission is received in cell network element with signal level approximately equal to or less than noise level.
EFFECT: object of the present invention is to use a modified NOMA principle for simultaneous cellular communication and D2D communication using the same set of resources without limitation of cellular communication resources and without negative effect of D2D communication on a cellular communication system in order to provide full cellular system capacity while supporting D2D communication.
