SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, pharmacology and biology, and concerns a method for reducing total (total) activity of a lysosomal lipolytic enzyme - acid phospholipase A1 (aPLA1). Method comprises administering to animal an intramuscular composition containing 1-hydroxygermatran and a pharmaceutically acceptable aqueous carrier. Dose of the active substance is 5.0 mg/kg of the animal's body weight. Preparation is introduced daily for 2 months.

EFFECT: use of the method enables reducing the activity of aPLA1 by reducing hyperlipidemia and preventing atherosclerotic injuries of blood vessels.
