FIELD: measurement.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measurement equipment and can be used in medicine in dentistry for measuring muscle force of tongue or tongue pressure on palate. Disclosed fibre-optic sensor of tongue muscle force - tongue pressure on the palate, contains two plates, between which there is an optical fibre, one end of which is docked to the radiation source, and the other end - to the radiation receiver. Upper plate is made in the form of an inverted cup, the bottom of which can deflect upwards, and there is a slot in the side surface for input/output of optical fibres. Side contour of the lower plate mirrors the contour of the upper plate, and the elastic part of the lower plate in the contact area with the tongue is made flat with a thickness close to the thickness of the bottom of the upper plate, and with the help of the adhesive along the side contour it is fixed on the protrusion of the upper plate. Optical fibre coils are arranged between the plates either in the form of the letter "O", or spirally, or in the form of the letter "B", or the number "6", or in the form of two mutually perpendicular letters "U". Disclosed method for assembling a fibre-optic sensor of tongue muscle force - tongue pressure on the palate, comprises the following steps: the upper plate is fixed on the table downwards; through the side slot in the upper plate an optical fibre is drawn; optical fibre is laid on the surface of the bottom according to the corresponding scheme, temporarily fixing in points of bends by fluoroplastic fixing hooks on which weights are laid; a free end of the optical fibre is drawn through the side slot in the upper plate; filling a free space of the upper plate with a sealant; after hardening of sealant, removing hooks; on the ledge of the upper plate an adhesive composition is applied; Lower plate is attached to projection of top plate to fill slot and free space between plates with sealant and glue.
EFFECT: technical result is reduction of weight and size, higher sensitivity of converting optical signals, higher technological effectiveness of the sensor design, providing safe for patient's health diagnosing the disease with the help of this device.
