FIELD: gas turbine engines.
SUBSTANCE: balls are released and the working chamber is filled with them. The blade is fixed in the chamber with the possibility of interaction of its hardened surfaces with balls, and the hardened surfaces of the blade are treated with ultrasonic vibrations. The referred balls are released, with a diameter of 0.68 mm and a hardness of 59-61 HRC, from SHKH15 steel with the structure of the martensite with carbides of chromium. The balls release is carried out at a temperature of 350-450 ºC for 25-45 min to improve elasticity and reduce hardness of the balls to 40-50 HRC, with change of their structure on troostomartensite and troostite with chromium carbides. Ultrasonic vibrations are carried out with amplitude of 10-30 mcm at a frequency of 18-22 kHz for 80-250 sec. The loading density of the balls in the working chamber is set in the amount of 130-200 pcs./cm3 of the volume of its working space.
EFFECT: as a result, the roughness of the hardened surfaces is reduced and an increase in the endurance limit of the compressor blades is provided.
