Device receives configuration data associated with device industrial automation function, through serial peripheral interface and stores obtained data in memory, when serial peripheral interface is connected to external storage device, and performs industrial automation functions in accordance with obtained configuration data, when the serial peripheral interface is connected to the peripheral board.
