FIELD: radio engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio engineering and can be used in radio transmitters. The result is achieved in that a step modulator with a number of steps in each half-period which equals to N, determined by the requirement for the linearity coefficient of amplification, is additionally introduced into the broadband power amplifier scheme. The proposed principle of constructing a broadband power amplifier with high amplification linearity enables substantially reducing the number of amplifier elements used in the amplifier and, as a result, increasing the reliability thereof.
EFFECT: increased reliability of the power amplifier.
