FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: regulator (300) for gas turbine engine (10), which operates according to control method. Gas turbine engine (10) comprises compressor (14) having housing (50) which extends along working axis (20) and is centred thereon. Array (48) of working blades of compressor is connected to rotary shaft (22) of engine, which passes along working axis (20). First rotary vane (8a) is located in axial direction at distance from array of compressor blades (48) along working axis (20), wherein first rotary blade (8a) is installed with possibility of rotation in first location (202) on housing (50), having axis (121) of blade rotation at right angles to working axis (20). First rotary blade (8a) is connected to adjustment drive (154) made with possibility to rotate the first rotary blade (8a) around its axis (121) of rotation in the range (A-D) of angles relative to working axis (20). Control (300) is made with possibility to control rotation of the first rotary blade (8a) depending on the engine shaft rpm, wherein in first range (A-B) of engine shaft rpm angle of first rotary blade (8a) relative to working axis (20) decreases with increase in engine speed, and in second range (B-C) of engine shaft rpm angle of first rotary blade (8a) relative to working axis (20): increases with increase in engine speed.

EFFECT: disclosed is compressor control.
