FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of mechanical engineering, in particular to additional manual drives for a bicycle. The drive contains a drive lever coaxially mounted on the bicycle handlebar shaft. The bending of the hand drive lever occurs when the lever moves back and forth at the cardan joint. The presence of a cardan joint on the lever of the hand drive enables simultaneous reciprocating and rotational movement around the axis of the drive lever. The rotational movement of the drive around the axis provides steering of the bicycle. The back-and-forth motion of the drive provides movement of the bike. The movement of the bicycle occurs when the drive lever is pushed away from itself through the transfer of energy through the cable to the ratchet drum and the carriage-pedal mechanism of the bicycle.
EFFECT: increased convenience of using manual bicycle drive.
