FIELD: mechanics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a structure of fastening a door mirror for a side door of a vehicle. The waist line reinforcement is located between the outer panel and the inner panel and extends along the vehicle waist line. The door mirror reinforcement is located adjacent to the front of the waist line reinforcement. The waist line reinforcing member and the door mirror reinforcing member have respective portions overlapping and connected to each other. The door mirror is mounted on the overlapping and connected portions of the waist line reinforcement and the door mirror reinforcement. The hinge reinforcement extends substantially vertically along the leading edge of the door. The front part of the waist line reinforcing member is formed in a bifurcated form so as to include an upper leg and a lower leg. The front end of the upper leg and the front end of the lower leg of the belt line reinforcing element are connected to the loop reinforcing element.
EFFECT: improved rigidity of the belt line reinforcing element and the door mirror reinforcing element, which effectively suppresses vibrations of the mirror surface of the door mirror.
