FIELD: optical communication.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to optical communication technology, specifically to photonic quantum communication systems. The technical problem of the proposed device is increasing resistance to measuring attempts with definitive distinction between phase-modulated states in order to establish correlations with the distributed bit sequences.
EFFECT: technical result of the proposed device is increased maximal quantum information transmission range. The technical result is achieved by the electronic control and synchronization units expanding the discrete set of modulating signal phases from four to 2N values (0, 180°/N, 2·180°/N, …, (2N-1)180°/N) of modulating signals with an arbitrary integer value of N> 2 due to modification of the control blocks.
