The processor receives a videostream from a camera that forms an image of a marked pedestrian crossing on the road. The videostream shows a person crossing the road along the marked pedestrian crossing. The processor identifies the person in the videostream. The processor determines the projected path of this person along the marked pedestrian crossing based on the current path. After that the processor generates coordinates based on this projected path. The processor sends the coordinates to the light source in such a way that the light source emits light based on the coordinates as the person moves along the projected path along the marked pedestrian crossing so that light can follow the person crossing the road at the marked pedestrian crossing, thereby visually informing a vehicle driver on the road about this person.

EFFECT: invention enhances safety of using common areas.
