FIELD: mining industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the mining industry and can be used to normalize the atmosphere of open-pit mine workings during blasting operations and to localize dust from blasting operations. A dust suppression method during blasting operations is proposed, including treatment of dust and gas cloud with a dust suppressor after an explosion, the dust suppressor being installed in a place safe from explosion. In this case, as a dust suppressor, a raised gable mesh tent installed perpendicular to the wind direction behind the site of blasting operations is used immediately before blasting. Moreover, the slope of the tent on the side of the blasting operation has a cell size 4 times larger than the cells of the other slope.

EFFECT: reduced energy consumption and increased efficiency of dust localization during explosion.
