SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of drilling and blasting and can be used in various industries that use blasting in rock masses. Downhole stemming contains a cylinder with a wedge. The cylinder is made with a support in the form of a circle with flexible edges and enters a wedge made in the form of cones located one inside the other with aligned tops. The angle at the top of the upper cone is taken in the range of 132-148 degrees, and the angle at the top of the lower cone is less than 100 degrees. The diameter of the lower cone is taken equal to the diameter of the well. Along the perimeter of the base, the lower cone is provided with a flexible seal. The length of the well stemming is more than 1.5 well diameters. Downhole stemming is made of low or high pressure polyethylene. The inner cavity of the cylinder is filled with expanded polystyrene or polyurethane foam. The support in the form of a circle is perforated. Sealing tape is used as flexible edges.

EFFECT: increasing the speed of stemming installation and simplifying the design.
