FIELD: sand cores.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to installations and methods for making a sand core. The installation contains a core box (1), a feeding device for introducing a mixture of sand and an inorganic binder into the core box (1) and a curing device (3) for introducing compressed hot air directed through a certain channel in order to solidify the mixture into the core box (1). The device (3) for curing contains at least one heating block (3.1) in the channel for heating the compressed air before it reaches the core box (1). The installation (100) contains a flow meter (7) for measuring the air flow rate in the duct and a flow regulator (6) for regulating the air flow rate. The regulator (6) can act depending on the measurement taken by the flow meter (7). The installation (100) contains a control unit (8), which is connected to the flow meter (7) and to the flow controller (6) and is configured to influence the flow controller (6) to regulate the compressed air flow rate depending on the measurement obtained by the flow meter (7). The core box (1) contains a cavity (1.3) in the form of a rod, at least one inlet pipeline (1.1.1) connecting the outer part of the core box (1) with the cavity (1.3) so that the mixture and compressed air can be introduced into the cavity (1.3), and at least one outlet pipeline (1.2.1) connecting the outer part of the core box (1) with the cavity (1.3) so that the air present in the cavity (1.3) can be removed from the cavity (1.3) corresponding to the mixture and compressed air being introduced into the specified cavity (1.3). The installation (100) contains an outlet pipe (5) in fluid communication with an outlet pipeline (1.2.1) for guiding the air discharged through the outlet pipeline (1.2.1). The flow regulator (6) is located in the outlet pipe (5) and is made with the possibility of direct regulation of the flow through the outlet pipe (5).

EFFECT: efficient manufacture of the core, optimization of the air flow rate and the ratio between temperature and flow rate for curing the core, reduction of the curing time.
