SUBSTANCE: invention relates to systems for cleaning a toilet seat and particularly to an automatic cleaning unit for the upper surface of a toilet seat. The toilet seat automatic cleaning unit has a cover connected to the toilet seat. The invention defines a fluid transport channel surrounding the toilet seat. The cover contains an air deflector formed as a portion of the upper wall and at the front end of the cover. The air deflector has two opposing surfaces converging together from an inner surface of the outer side wall. The unit is configured to discharge liquid to the rear of the toilet seat and generate gas for transporting this liquid from the rear of the toilet seat to the front of the toilet. The air deflector directs the liquid and air through the fluid transport channel and into the bowl of the toilet using two opposing surfaces of the air deflector.

EFFECT: invention provides efficient and effective cleaning and/or sanitization of toilet seats.
