SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of capturing small-sized unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) and can be used in military equipment. The method of capturing an air target with a network includes the following operations: approaching an interceptor UAV with a net laid in it at a given distance to a UAV-target, disconnecting projectile bodies from an interceptor UAV to which the net is attached, deploying the net in the air, contact of the network and the UAV-target in the air. Small missiles are used as projectiles, the net is packed into a container that is attached to one of the points of the net, the container is placed on an interceptor UAV, after approaching a UAV-target in the air from the UAV-interceptor, the container is disconnected from the net, one of the ends of which is attached to the UAV-interceptor, missiles are launched with the ends of the network fixed on them in different directions at an angle to the direction of flight of the UAV-interceptor. In this case, the interceptor UAV performs a vertical maneuver upward relative to the missile launch directions. An interceptor UAV, missiles and a container stretch the net in the air and carry it towards the UAV-target.

EFFECT: technical result is an increase in the area of the net in a deployed form and the possibility of its movement in the direction of flight, maintaining the balancing of the UAV-interceptor after ejection of the network, excluding the collision of the UAV-interceptor with the UAV-target. The probability of capturing an airborne UAV-target by a network increases.
