FIELD: glass industry.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a multiple glass unit and a method of fabricating it. Multiple glass unit has the first glass and the second one. It is waterproof, has a circumferential spacer that is rigidly connected to the first and the second glasses, respectively, and located between the first glass and the second one, which has at least two parallel glass contact walls, an outer wall and a wall facing the inner space of the glazing as well as the interior space and comprises a waterproof sealing strip extending around the outer wall of the spacer between the first and the second glasses. At least one pressure balancing element is inserted into this sealing strip and the spacer. This element on one side is disclosed to the surrounding atmosphere and on the other side is open to the inner space of the spacer or to the inner space of the glazing between the first and the second glass panes and is designed in such a manner that it creates a time-limited gaseous connection due to aging and/or atmospheric impacts with the function of balancing the pressure between the atmosphere and and the spacer interior or the inner space of the glazing. The pressure balancing element contains an initially gas permeable substance in the main body. This substance ages and /or degrades under the influence of the air moisture in the atmosphere and gradually reduces the gas permeability of the pressure balancing element until it is completely closed.
EFFECT: pressure equalization of multiple glass units after their final manufacture, before or during subsequent processing or application by the customer.
