The claimed method of protection against unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) contains the stages at which: by means of primary detection means, including a lidar, the detection of an aircraft in a controlled area of ​​airspace; determining by means of primary detection means, including lidar, the spatial coordinates of the detected flying object, which are sent to the control and classification means; capture the detected flying object using the recognition means; and classifying the detected flying object based on the analysis of at least one image using the control and classification means. In this case, the specified analysis is performed using a neural network. When defining a flying object as a UAV, measures to protect against UAVs are used with the help of a means of neutralization.

EFFECT: providing an integrated solution for detecting, classifying and countering unmanned aerial vehicles, in particular civilian type UAVs, without damaging them (without disabling the on-board UAV control system).
