FIELD: rocket and space technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of rocket and space technology, and more specifically to the stages of a launch vehicle (LV). The reusable stage of the LV contains an instrument compartment, a tank of the first fuel component, an inter-tank compartment, and a combined propulsion system. The installation consists of a liquid rocket engine (LRE), located in the inter-tank compartment, and a steering LRE. The steering liquid rocket engine has less than three chambers for thrust vector control, stabilization, braking and stage landing. The second propellant tank is located below the first propellant tank. The payload compartment is formed by a cylindrical shell connected to the lower stage of the launch vehicle and the bottom of the tank of the second component, on which the payload is fixed. On the bottom of the tank of the second component, retractable or folding landing supports are installed.
EFFECT: improved mass-dimensional characteristics.
