The device (100) for preparing and dispensing beverages contains a supply means (2) for supplying water, a heater (4) for heating water, a pump (5) for supplying water from a supplying means (2) to (4), a logical unit (6) for controlling the heater (4) and the pump (5), a device (10) for heating and/or foaming milk, comprising a mixing chamber (11) equipped with a steam inlet (11a) hydraulically connected to the said heater (4), means (12) for feeding milk into the chamber (11) and means (13) for introducing air into the chamber (11). At the same time, the heater is an electromagnetic induction heater (4) containing a metal channel (8) adapted for heating by means of electromagnetic induction, and at least one electromagnetic induction coil (9), the turns of which are located around the said metal channel (8). In addition, the logical unit (6) is designed to control the pump (5) and the heater (4) so that hot water and steam can be obtained in the metal channel (8), and the device contains a means (7a) for supplying steam to the mentioned chamber (11).
