The cartridge for the electronic vaping device (EVD) contains an evaporator unit designed to generate generated steam; and an aromatizing unit connected to the evaporator unit, the aromatizing unit being designed to mechanically control the release of the aromatizing agent into the generated steam to form the aromatized steam. The aromatizing unit contains at least one aromatizing structure accommodating the aromatizing agent; and at least one exposure control mechanism designed to allow at least one aromatizing structure to be exposed in a controlled manner to the evaporator unit to control the release of the aromatizing agent into the generated steam. An electronic vaping device containing a cartridge and a flavoring unit module for an electronic vaping device (EVD) are disclosed.
