SUBSTANCE: invention relates to railway automation engineering. Method of train traffic control at stations consists in setting all route switches designated for the next train, with the exception of the dividing switch, in the position, corresponding to the route once the previous train enters the route sections of the track, and the dividing switch - after it has been released by the previous train. The station receives the numbers of the two arriving and departing trains, the numbers of the receiving and sending tracks, the moments of time when the locomotives pass the station boundaries and the receiving departure tracks. The station computer selects ways to bypass the faulty section, reserve reception tracks, taking into account the route specialization, the availability of passenger platforms and the placement of equipment for urgent repair of cars, and also changes the train departure order.

EFFECT: train delays are reduced.
