SUBSTANCE: invention relates to space equipment, and more specifically to cooling systems. An open-loop evaporative cooling system for thermostating equipment of a space object contains an evaporative heat exchanger, a reservoir with a liquid coolant, a coolant flow regulator and an isolation valve for starting the system. The evaporative heat exchanger is designed as a heat pipe. The coolant flow regulator is made in the form of bushings with calibrated holes and a poppet valve with a bellows installed in series at the outlet of the heat pipe. The bellows is filled with an inert gas at a predetermined pressure. The system is started by opening the isolation valve. The inner cavity of the heat pipe is connected, on one side, to a reservoir with a liquid heat carrier, and on the other side, through a heat carrier flow regulator and an isolating valve, with the external environment surrounding the space object.

EFFECT: temperature stabilization is achieved.
