FIELD: rail transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the method of controlling the hand brake of at least one railway car. This railway car is preferably not self-propelled. The railway car consists of a car frame. The hand brake is controlled with the help of the controlling system. The hand brake consists of a mechanical device with manual control, a brake lever system and at least one brake shoe, and the mechanical device with manual control, a brake lever system and at least one brake shoe are mechanically connected, while the monitoring system consists of a detection module and a control module. The detection module has at least one detector element. The control module includes a processor, a non-volatile material memory device and instructions in the memory device for instructing the processor. The method includes a number of stages.
EFFECT: improving the accuracy of control of the hand brake, reliability, safety, ease of maintenance, installation and dismantling, reducing the cost of implementing the method of controlling the hand brake.
