FIELD: ophtalmology.
SUBSTANCE: surgical treatment of aphakia is performed by implantation and scleral fixation of an elastic intraocular lens with an "o" or "s" -shaped haptic element. At 9 hours, a corneal tunnel incision is formed for IOL implantation. A needle with a closed ring with a double thread is inserted into one of the haptic elements of the implanted lens. A double thread is wrapped around the arc of the haptic element and the needle is passed between the threads, forming a loop around the arc of the haptic element. The IOL is placed in the cartridge for implantation so that the haptic element with the formed loop is directed to the working edge of the injector, the needle with the thread is passed through the cartridge, and then through the working edge of the injector, the cartridge is placed into the injector, the IOL is placed for implantation. The sclera is punctured through the tunnel incision at a distance of 2.5 mm from the limbus for 12 hours. The IOL is implanted through the tunnel incision so that the second haptic element remains in the tunnel lumen. The second needle with a double closed ring thread forms a loop on the clamped haptic element in the tunnel section. Using a spatula, the remaining haptic element is placed inside the eye under the iris. The sclera is punctured with the second needle through the tunnel incision for 6 hours, 2.5 mm from the limbus. The threads are tightened at 12 and 6 hours and the lens is centered. After the centering of the IOL, at the point where the threads exit from the sclera and the conjunctiva, the same needles at the exit point are injected into the sclera and conjunctiva, the needle is inserted into the thickness of the sclera, and they exit into the limbus region, passing the threads into the thicker sclera. After additional centering of the IOL, the threads are cut without forming knots and suturing the tunnel incision.
EFFECT: method simplifies and reduces the trauma of treatment by eliminating the formation of scleral, conjunctival flaps and paracentesis, as well as preventing sutures on the sclera, conjunctiva and cornea.
