FIELD: aviation and beyond.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of aviation, energy and gas industry and, in particular, can be used in the operation of gas compressor units (GCU) driven by converted gas turbine engines (GTE) NK-36ST in the conditions of compressor stations of gas transmission enterprises. It is also possible to implement it in automatic control systems (ACS) and protection of aircraft engines NK-25, NK-32, NK-32-02, NK-361, NK-37. The technical solution is aimed at protecting the engine with a three-stage gas generator from secondary damage and destruction due to the surge of an axial compressor at the initial stages of manifestation of defects in parts of the gas-air duct. The technical result is the timely shutdown of the engine (emergency or forced shutdown), which allows maintaining the integrity of most of the gas-air path of the gas turbine engine, including by preventing the surge of the axial compressor. According to the invention, a computational module is introduced into the ACS and GTE protection system for calculating and comparing the slip of the gas generator rotors with the issuance of warning and alarm signals when the diagnostic parameter reaches the limit values.
EFFECT: three-stage gas generator engine protected by timely shutdown.
