SYSTEM AND METHOD OF WASTEWATER TREATMENT USING ADVANCED ELECTROFLOTATION Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC C02F1/465 C02F9/00 C02F1/467 C02F11/12

Abstract RU 2747663 C2

FIELD: wastewater treatment.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to wastewater treatment, in particular to the oxidation and removal of pollutants contained in wastewater, including suspended solid particles, organic substances, heavy metals and bacteria, using mechanically stimulated electroflotation. The dosing tank is filled with seawater. Then the waste water is fed until the mixture of seawater and waste water in the dosing tank reaches the second set level. In an electrolyzer installed outside the dosing tank, the flow is electrolyzed. The flow is then pumped into the sedative chamber. The chamber contains a coalescing package, which includes flow-scattering plates made in one piece, designed for spraying the polymer solution and the flow that has been subjected to electrolysis. A diluted defoamer solution is injected. At the entrance to the integrated mixing section, a diluted polymer solution is injected. The polymer solution and the electrolyzed flow in the form of a shallow shower are sprayed over the seawater and wastewater remaining in the dosing tank. A clearly defined floating layer of flocculated solid particles with micro-bubbles attached to them is obtained. The treated waste water is separated from the flocculation layer. The dosing tank is irrigated with a stream of treated wastewater to produce sludge with residual solid particles. The sludge is dehydrated to produce a filtrate. The filtrate is recirculated into a dosing tank.

EFFECT: effective separation of solid particles and removal of organic substances and bacteria, reducing the volume of seawater used, reducing the volume of sludge stored on the ship.
