FIELD: fiber optic communication.
SUBSTANCE: image-conducting fiber-optic bundle continues along the central axis of the bundle between the ends of the image input and image output. The bundle is twisted throughout part of its length so that the image entered at the end of the image input is shifted at an angle around the central axis of the bundle to the output through the end of the image output. Each component of the whole optical fiber includes a shell with a shell diameter corresponding to the diameter of this fiber, and a core with a core diameter. The ratio of the core diameter to the shell diameter determines the ratio of the core and shell diameters related to each fiber. In various embodiments, at least one of the fiber diameter and the ratio of the core and shell diameters varies depending on the radial offset of the fiber from the central axis of the bundle.
EFFECT: provision of the possibility of easy inversion of the image with a relatively small length of the bundle with a simultaneous undesirable deterioration of the peripheral image.
