FIELD: optical engineering. SUBSTANCE: artificial precious stone has cut face surface and bundle of fiber-optic light guides. Each light guide has core and shell, refractivity of the shell is less than refractivity of the core. Adjacent light guides are connected together rigidly along the side surfaces and are oriented in such a manner, that tangent line to optical axes of the light guides is parallel to tangent line to surface of the stone at selective light dissipation point. Light guides are cemented by transparent medium which has absorption coefficient larger than absorption coefficient of the light guides. Side surfaces of the light guides are made mirror smooth. Face surface of the stone is covered by layer of transparent material. Stone may have layers inside which the light guides are put in parallel, but their axes are not parallel in different layers. Stone may be formed by units. Some units may have complicated curvilinear shape and axes of the light guides are curved. Stone may be made in form of insertion, in this case the light guides are disposed at some angle to support surface, and support surface is provided with additional support member. Stone has saturated color and keeps contrast shining at preset part of face surface, as well as transparence and depth effect. EFFECT: improved efficiency. 12 cl, 6 dwg
