FIELD: mining industry; environmental protection.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the mining industry and environmental protection and can be used for processing mine tailings. At least one of anionic guar gums is added to an aqueous run-off containing solid particles the amount of which is 5-70% of the total mass. At least one of anionic guar gums has a molecular weight of 3-50 million g/mol, a degree of substitution of 0.01-3 and a charge density of 0.1-15 mEq/g. After that at least one of cationic starches or cationic dextrans with a molecular weight of 100000-50 million g/mol, a degree of substitution of 0.1-3 and a charge density of 0.5-10 mEq/g is added to the aqueous run-off. The amount of the anionic guar gums, based on weight, is 10-10000 ppm, and the amount of the cationic starches or cationic dextrans is 50-1000 ppm, based on the amount of solid particles, and their weight ratio is from 15:1 to 5:1. After that all water or at least 20% of its mass is separated.
EFFECT: resulting composition is suitable for long-term storage or soil disposal of wastewater after the extraction of rocks from coal or diamond mines, phosphate or metal mines, from bituminous or oil-bearing sandstones; or aqueous run-offs containing fresh and / or small tailings; or sand, clay, water and / or residual bitumen.
