FIELD: security elements.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a protective element based on a hidden magnetic microstructure formation used to control the authenticity of protected products, and a method for protecting products from counterfeiting using an authentication agent, which uses the specified protective element. The protective element is a formed microstructural formation consisting of magnetic particles, and is made on the basis of hidden magnetic particles with a size of 10-100 microns, a thickness of 1 to 10 microns, a distance between the particles being within the size of the corresponding magnetic particles and an average number of particles per 1 cm2 of the protective element of more than 1,000 units. In this case, these particles form magneto-optical images. The method of protecting products from counterfeiting is characterized by the use of a magnetoactive agent of authenticity. The magnetoactive agent is placed covertly in the near-surface layer of the protected product in a chaotic and/or regular arrangement, while the protective element is used as the agent, in which the magnetic particles have dimensions of 10-100 microns, with a thickness of 1 to 10 microns, with a distance between the particles being within the particle size and an average number of particles per 1 cm2 of the protective element of more than 1,000 units, while determining the authenticity of the products is carried out using a magneto-optical visualizer.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at increasing the degree of protection against counterfeiting and resistance to external influences.
