EMULSION EXPLOSIVE COMPOSITION AND METHOD FOR PRODUCTION THEREOF Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC C06B31/28 C06B23/00 B01F17/00

Abstract RU 2748152 C2

FIELD: explosives.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to industrial explosives used in the mining industry for initiating borehole and blasthole charges, breaking dimensional stone, producing cumulative and pressure charges, and to a method of producing an emulsion composition. An emulsion explosive composition based on a matrix emulsion is comprised of water, an oxidizing phase comprising ammonium nitrate mixed with sodium or calcium nitrate, a hydrocarbon phase comprising ceresin or microcrystalline wax, and an emulsifier. A water solution of sodium nitrite or glass or polymer microspheres are used as a sensitizing agent. Polyisobutylene succinic anhydride sorbitan is used as an emulsifier. The composition is characterized by the following ratio of components, % wt.: sodium or calcium nitrate or ammonium perchlorate 5 to 25.0; water 5.0 to 20.0; ceresin, microcrystalline wax or mixtures thereof with saturated hydrocarbons with a dropping point of more than 60°С 4.0 to 7.0; polyisobutylene succinic anhydride sorbitan 0.5 to 2.0; a water solution of sodium nitrite at a concentration of 5 to 25% 0.5 to 2.0 or glass or polymer microspheres 0.4 to 5.0; the rest ammonium nitrate up to 100%. The emulsion explosive composition based on a matrix emulsion is produced from a dispersion of a water solution of oxidizing salts in a medium based on molten ceresin or microcrystalline wax with a dropping point of at least 60°C and a solid emulsifier with a sensitizing additive introduced thereto. The process is executed at a temperature of 85 to 95°С. The resulting emulsion is filled into a mold to be formed into cartridges, cumulative charges or detonator blocks, followed by cooling.

EFFECT: provided are stability of form during storage, transportation and application and high explosive characteristics.
