SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a complex of active components for use in dental and/or oral care products, consisting of CO₂ extract of rose hip flowers Rosa Canina, a dry extract of magnolia bark Magnolia Officinalis and an essential oil of clementine peel Citrus clementina, taken in a ratio (0.05-0.5):(0.001-0.1):(0.005-0.3) by weight, dental and/or oral care products based on it and their use. The proposed product contains the above-mentioned complex of active components in the amount of 0.1-0.3 wt%. The product may additionally contain: an enzyme (bromelain, papain, or a mixture thereof); one or more essential oil of grapefruit Citrus Paradisi, essential oil of mint Mentha Piperita, essential oil of anise Illicium Verum, essential oil of basil Ocimum Basilicum, essential oil of clove Eugenia Caryophyllus; bacteria lysate (Bifidobacterium longum, Bifidobacterium bifidum, Bifidobacterium adolescentis, Streptococcus thermophilus, Lactobacillus acidophilus, Lactobacillus fermentum, Lactobacillus bulgaricus lysates or a mixture thereof); one or more of the water-glycerin extract of the plantain Plantago Lanceolata leaves, water-glycerin extract of clover Trifolium Pratense flowers, water-glycerin extract of Japanese Sophora Sophora Japonica buds or a mixture thereof: aqueous extract of hibiscus Hibiscus Sabdariffa flowers; dry extract of badan Bergenia Crassifolia root; fermented Punica Granatum pomegranate fruit extract. The product can be a toothpaste or mouthwash. It is proposed to use the above-mentioned complex of active components or a product based on that for the prevention of oxidative stress of the oral cavity, to reduce periodontal inflammation in a subject with such inflammation, as well as to reduce gum bleeding in a subject subject to this.

EFFECT: components of the complex have antioxidant and antibacterial effects, enhancing each other’s action to reduce periodontal inflammation.
