SUBSTANCE: method for making a blind hole in a finished tire and a method for inserting an insert into such a blind hole are disclosed. The above includes providing a finished tire containing the tread blocks forming the tire tread, and then performing by machining a blind hole in the tread block of the tire, which has a first cross-section at the first depth and a second cross-section at the second depth, with the second cross-section larger than the first cross-section and the second depth greater than the first depth.
EFFECT: technical result is an increase in the reliability of fixing the spike insert in the tread of the finished tire while simplifying the method of its installation.
