FIELD: engines.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the area of engine building, particularly to apparatuses for controlled fuel supply in marine internal combustion engines wherein the fuel is supplied by opening and closing the nozzle. The method of operation of an apparatus for controlled liquid fuel supply includes the impact of an electric signal on a piezo actuator providing the opening and locking of the apparatus for controlled liquid fuel supply under pressure into the working area through the formed gap, characterized in that a mode of impact of the electric signal on the piezo actuator is set during operation of the apparatus so that the required gap is provided, the size whereof corresponds with the use of fuels with different viscosity levels.
EFFECT: achieved is possibility of adjusting the size of the gap corresponding with the amount of supplied fuel and the use of fuel with different viscosity levels.
